Today, South Korea is a powerhouse for e-Sports especially with competitive RTS. It's no surprise then, that Korea is a highly requested civilization for AOEIV. They were featured both in AOEII, and the Civilization series in the past. Medieval Korea is famous for their investments in science under the Joseon dynasty as well as their defense against Japan during the Imjin war. In this concept, Korea replies on research to gain a tempo advantage over their opponents - each technology researched grants a free villager. Korea is also a land of fortresses, their Keeps, Outposts, and Archers are all more powerful, and have longer range.
