Age of Empires IV:
THE MALIANS [REDESIGNED]
Rulers of the Sahelian plain, the Mansas of Mali were among the wealthiest sovereigns in the Medieval world. They are a widely known African kingdom, and featured in many games including Civilization and Age of Empires. The faction is already featured in AOEIV, but with many historical inaccuracies. Many of their units come from the Guinean coast rather than Mali itself, while famous Malian units were excluded entirely. In this concept I redesign Mali to be more accurate to its historical self, featuring swift Farima knights, and spammable Sofa archers. I also added a new unit, the "Griot", which increasingly boosts economic output around it the longer it stands in the same place.
